Red Bull - researching the pub/bar market
The trade team at Red Bull wanted to get an understanding of the opportunities they have in the UK pub/bar market. Crowd DNA were tasked with researching consumers and managers of different venues across the UK to uncover trends and to explore the role that Red Bull can play within these venues.
We conducted telephone interviews with managers of pubs and bars to understand how they could be further supported by brands. For the consumers, we conducted a quantitative survey followed by an online forum (including lots of opportunities for participants to upload images) with those who regularly visit pubs or bars, to discover the consumer journey on a night out from getting ready to arriving at their final destination, and of course what they drink along the way!
Our findings helped Red Bull to understand the needs of both consumers and the managers, arming them with knowledge and insights into what drives footfall, builds loyalty and delivers consumer satisfaction. This ultimately allowed them to plan for the year ahead in the pub/bar trade while strengthening their partnership with a leading pub/hospitality group. Moreover, we're pleased to say we turned the project around at lightning fast pace!
