Simrat started out as a primary school teacher, but then curriculum dictatorship and inflexible teaching methods took the fizzle out of things. Seeking somewhere where her values could thrive, she next spent five years as a marketing exec at a national children’s charity supporting terminally ill children. From there, she moved into insight, working at Sign Salad and The Pineapple Lounge, and managing projects for global brands such as AMEX, Danone, Diageo, Hasbro and Molson Coors. As a BAME woman, Simrat is passionate about reflecting her culture in her work. When she not creating a process or perfecting templates, she gives her spare time to volunteering with charities, embroidering something, spending time with family, and rustling up a mean rocky road!
