BARNARDO'S
Commissioned by digital agency Poke, Crowd DNA were briefed to research and recruit over 100 teenagers to take part in an initiative called the Teens’ Speech - a great initiative to give UK teenagers a platform through which to express their hopes and fears, their dreams and aspirations.
Our task was to source over 100 teenagers from five UK cities who have something to say. The key to this was diversity: we needed to find kids from a multitude of backgrounds, with widely different interests and experiences. They all needed to agree to being interviewed on camera about themselves and their take on issues in the UK today, such as money, family, community and school.
How did we do it? We contacted schools, colleges, youth organisations and charities. We spread the word online via social network sites, chatrooms, forums and blogs. We used our experience with youth projects to get the teens on board and excited about the project. Footage from our teens’ interviews will be used to create a powerful short film called the Teens’ Speech.
