Growing up with two cultures, Alana has always been curious about how culture shapes human behaviour. She studied for her bachelor’s degree in Psychology & Neuroscience at Maastricht University, Netherlands. Keen to deepen her understanding, she later completed her MSc in Human Decision Science. Alana worked on varied research projects within academia, for example exploring the role of the gut-brain axis on decision-making and using virtual reality to optimise treatment methods in clinical psychology. She then decided to pursue her passion for research in a more strategic and creative setting. Before joining Crowd, she worked as a Strategist in a design agency in Amsterdam, focusing on brand and experience for fashion and technology clients. Outside of work, you can find her in the gym, on the dancefloor, or non-stop talking about the beauty of our brains.
