Dave has over 15 years of experience in insight, but took the scenic route into it. His formative professional years included stints as a music journalist, radio plugger, trend spotter and concierge — with DJing and club promotion as side hustles. He started out in insights at a boutique agency specialising in comms and creative development. More recently he helped clients with strategic challenges across B2C, B2B and pharmaceutical at Crowd’s sister agency, Incite. Food and wine are subjects close to Dave’s heart. His Google Maps currently has over 550 restaurants green-flagged — and that’s after a recent pruning. Piedmont and Burgundy are regular wine tasting destinations but he’s visited vineyards as far afield as New Zealand and Patagonia.
