Consultant (Strategic Insights)
Simi’s fascination with cultural insights started in her adolescence. Growing up between Nigeria, England and the US, she used media as a way of understanding the cultures she was being raised between and her locale of the moment. She researched the relationship between Black women and the city through the lens of Black women-centered sitcoms at Barnard College Of Columbia University, where she completed her BA in urban studies and Africana studies. Simi joins the strategic insights team at Crowd DNA after working in e-commerce for several years, with knowledge of consumer goods. She’s currently studying for her MA in media, culture and communication at New York University. When she’s not in class or at work, you can find Simi making oddly specific playlists, rollerskating around Brooklyn, or dissecting reality dating shows.
